K0YQ | SO HP ALL | Thanks all |
K1DC | SO HP ALL | First license 05-2022. Well, it sure is fun to be LOUD! I had several conflicts this weekend so I knew I would not be able to put in a competitive effort so my goal was to maximize the fun! And what better way to do that than to run a nice contest station at QRO power! In past RTTY contests I've run LP, either with my own potato station or Tony's very nice K1KP station (Thanks, Tony!). I had a few short sessions on Fri night, mostly on 80 and on Sat. morning working the high bands. I then put in a solid 10 hrs on Sunday where most of the points were accumulated. The big difference, LP vs HP, was running. In the past running LP was mostly a dream. I'd get 5-10 Qs after being spotted and then nuttin'. With HP, boy-howdeeee! There were many times I'd have 2-3 calls in the call queue and a cacophony of other callers. I had several periods of ~100/hr rates and I found the limiting factor was pulling enough calls out of the din to keep the rate high. I?m sure the experienced folks already know this but I?ve not experienced it before ? it is nearly impossible (and frankly impractical) to pull partial calls from a RTTY pileup. I was keeping a keen eye on the 3 decode windows hoping to grab a call but often just having to wait for what seemed like minutes to get one. A few highlights for me CN3A, C37A, JT1CO, YL2CI, Z36W, SOAPBOX: TF3PPN, HB0DX, ZD7BG, V55Y, 5Z4VJ, andVJ5W via long path. This HP thing could become a habit ? 73s and Thanks for the Qs! Flex 6400 + PGXL Skyhawk & TX38 tribanders 40M Moxon, 80M phased delta loops |
K1VU | SO LP ALL | Note - first log entry, accidentally worked using personal call rather than club call. X-qso'd since I shouldn't get credit, but they shouldn't be penalized |
K2LNS | SO HP ALL | Tough on my eyes. But wanted to at least work 100 Q's on bands from 10-40 Mission accomplished |
K3CCR | M2 | K3CCR is the club station at the Collington continuing-care retirement community at FM 18OW in MD, just east of DC. N3UM and W5MPB did Multi-2 in 2025 CQ WPX RTTY. We hoped to beat our 2024 result of 4115 Q pts & 716 WPX for a 2.95 M claim. Not quite we got 1.007 X the WPX but 0.945 X the Q pts for 0.95 X the score. Kp of ~1-3 went to 4-4.7 after 15Z Sun, so we could not. At start on 40 M 00-0441Z N3UM got 195 Qs, 128 in 2 runs at ~55/hr, & quit to return early. W5MPB was at a non-ham event till 0137Z he got 63 80-M Qs, 20 20-M Qs, & 40 40-M Qs by 0557Z QRT. Back on 20 M 1223-1559Z N3UM got 80 Qs, mostly EUs, 47 running, and broke to eat. From 1358-1720Z W5MPB got 61 15-M Qs & 47 10-M Qs, mostly EUs, and broke to eat. Back at 1831Z N3UM got 70 more 20-M Qs by 2259Z. Then 2314 to 0456Z QRT he got 129 80-M Qs, 14 in runs, & 7 40-M Qs. Back 1828-2200Z W5MPB hopped bands for 11 10-M Qs & 58 15-M Qs. Then on 40 M 2209 to 0415Z QRT he got 101 Qs, and quit to return early. On again at 1253Z W5MPB got 92 Qs on 15 M by 1634Z and quit to eat. On at 14155Z N3UM got 50 Qs on 20 M by 1659Z and quit to eat. W5MPB back at 1743 band hopped for 75 15-M Qs, 46 10- M Qs, 26 40-M Qs, & 1 80-M Q by 2353Z final QRT. N3UM back at 1835Z got 128 Qs on 20 M by 2331Z, 86 in a run at 48/hr. Note that after 18Z hi bands got us good Q totals, but low band totals were poor Kp 4.3 from 18-24Z. So, we got 1300 Qs vs 1330 in 2024 |
K4SAA | SO QRP ALL | Limited time to operate due to life this year. Great contest as always. There were some new faces in the crowd and that's always nice to see!!! |
K5VIP | SO HP ALL | 100% S&P |
K5ZD | SO LP ALL | Operating from new QTH in Ohio. Just 100W with a 40m dipole up 20' and a 50-year old multi-band vertical mounted to a fence. Amazed to work anyone! |
K6MUG | SO LP ALL | Using fldigi and N3FJP ACL. They connected well, but fldigi has been flaky lately. I managed to kludge some fixes and gutted it out for a few hours |
K6TD | SO HP ALL | @K6MTU remote operation |
K7BVT | SO HP ALL | Great contest! |
K7QA | SO HP ALL | Superb condx here 15-40m. 10m EU opening thin and spotty both days. 40m polar path both nights was stellar with a few EU Runs. Sparse DX on 80m but did snag a ZL1. Goal was to beat last year's score and quit early to join the Big Game Party with a house full of drunks |
K8LG | SO LP ALL | Operator age 19 |

KD4IZ | SO QRP ALL | First time on this one, QRP only, and using N1MM+. Probably don't have all configs right but worked ok. The IC-705 worked a treat |

KE6QR | SO LP ALL | I discovered that on contact 99 on 02-08 2025 at 2249z my call sign is listed as a station worked. This is an obvious error on my part and I'm not going to delete it at this time as I hope the log checkers can cross reference with the station that I worked so that they will not receive a NIL penalty because of my error. The station that I worked gave me a contact number of 502. After you cross reference it you can delete that contact #99 please |
KE8JVX | SO LP ALL | Having fun with the IC-7100 and ham stick dipoles! |
KF0IDT | SO LP ALL | First license 03-2022 |
KF0RBR | SO LP 10M | Operator age 10. 11-11-2014 age 10 |
KF7F | SO HP ALL | Submitted as check-log only |
KG5EIU | SO HP ALL | Fun chasing DX |
KI6DY | SO HP ALL | By far my best effort ever in the contest but it wasn't easy. Freezing rain played havoc with SWRs on my antennas with the 40M rotatable dipole becoming unusable. Had to revert to an EFHW at 300W on 40 from Saturday evening onward. Was all S&P on that band from that point forward. My goal was to beat the W8 HP assisted record and achieve 2000 contacts. Mission accomplished |

LA4NL | SO LP 20M | SHECK LOG |
LA6CF | SO LP ALL | MY ICOM 7300 DOES NOT SUPPORT POSSIBILITY TO WRITE TO RTTY, SO TO CHANGE A SERIAL NUMBERD FORCES ME TO HIT THE DISPLAY ON TRANCEIVER ABOUT 25 TIMES. DOESNT WORK QUITE GOOD TO ME. AGE 86 |
LA8OKA | SO LP ALL | The USB interface stopped working during the contest |
LB1UK | SO LP ALL | IC-7000 End Feed LW 21m up 7m |
LB2JK | Checklog | Maybe a rookie? I got the LB2JK callsign December 17, 2024, but I also have K7IHZ in the US (since summer 2024) and was previously licensed as KB7PWD since the 1990s. I was never in a contest with the old callsign |
