K0ILSO LP ALLStill looking for North Dakota on RTTY!
K0RCSO LP ALLFriday evening and Saturday morning I found the conditions were terrible for decoding. Signals were strong but MMTTY and 2Tone were both having extreme difficulty decoding in order to complete exchanges. I heard many other stations required repeats too. I was trying all the different filters available in MMTTY (AA6YQ) and 2Tone (G3YYD) but nothing seemed to make any difference. Later on evening Saturday and throughout Sunday the decoding returned to normal behavior. There must have been some mystical propagation mode going on during the first 18 hours. Murphy struck during the last hour on Sunday evening. My software got hung up in an endless CQing loop. The mouse lost control and I was in a panic for several minutes, hearing stations answering my CQ, and with me pounding the ESC key to death! No matter what I tried, I could not break the endless CQ loop! I am sorry if you were one of the fellows that called me and I CQ'd over and over in your face! The final solution was using the old Alt+F4 keyboard sequence to force each running program to close. That was tedious but it was effective. I thought it would be a safer bet than doing a forced power off. After getting all the programs stopped, I rebooted and disabled the auto-repeat function for the final sprint to the end. Even so, Murphy stepped forward again, launching a second CQ sequence each time I used the F1 key, even though I had turned that auto-repeat function off! I stumbled through the final 5 minutes and ended a little shy of 400 QSOs in the log
K1RZSO HP ALLAnother fun RTTY event. Still fairly new to RTTY and still learning. Using N1MM Logger + MMTTY, GRITTY and 3 instances of 2TONE, plus dipoles on 40m and 80m. Thanks Mark K4SO. Thanks to everyone who got on, and for those who worked me. 73, Dave K1RZ
K3CCRM2K3CCR is the club station at the Collington continuing-care retirement community at FM 18OW in MD, just east of DC. With 2 HPAs again, N3UM and W5MPB did Multi-2 in 2022 CQ WPX RTTY. Our goal was to beat the 2/20 K3CCR M-2 WPX claim of 1.49 M by N3UM and W3GB. We came close 1.42 M. We got more Qs and mults this year, but 382 fewer Q pts on 80 M due to Kp of 3-4, bad QSB, & S-7+ QRN. At 0Z start N3UM did ~OK on 40 M 133 Qs in 3.6 hrs, 91 in 2 runs, 18 & 38 Qs at 55/hr. He quit at 0337Z to be back early. Bad luck kept W5MPB to 72 Qs by QRT K3 setup issue held him to 16 Qs on 20 M, bad condx allowed only 33 80-M Qs, then 40 M was good for 23 Qs by 0548Z QRT. On 20 M 1221-1616Z N3UM got 131 Qs slow but steady, mostly EUs, 54 of them in 2 runs, 18 and 36 Qs. From 1535-2233Z on 15 M W5MPB had good luck. He got 142 Qs in 7 hrs with short breaks, many EUs early and SAs later plus KH6 and JA. N3UM ran at 50/hr for 76 of 93 Qs 1835-2059Z, his best run. From 2333-0047Z N3UM ran for 22 of 46 Qs on 40 M. On 80 M condx were still bad he scraped up 24 Qs 0103-0151Z, with 5 EUs and 1 NA. W5MPB got 37 40-M Qs 0149Z to 0418Z QRT, 12 EUs. Sun. was slow 1445-1622Z N3UM got 59 20-M Qs, 49 in 2 short runs. W5MPB then did 20 M 1641-2251Z for 106 Qs many EUs early, SAs later. N3UM 1948-2140Z got 19 Qs on 40 and 14 on 15 M. W5MPB got 39 last Qs on 40 M 2254-2359, with 8 EUs. DX ctys are not WPX mults, but show condx by bands we got 11 ctys on 80 M, 53 on 40 M, 57 on 20 M, and 41 on 15 M. Sunspots, welcome back

KE3KSO LP ALLWow! That was a lot of fun. Haven't worked that many EU stations in years. Glad to see the cycle is active once again. Looking forward to many contests ahead
KF2TISO HP ALLOn a number of contacts, call seemed to be truncated by receiver as KF2T. Even created an N1MM button 'PLEASE CORRECT CALL-KF2TI KF2TI 90% would correct, the balance would just go on. If I attempted to correct again, operator would log it as another contact No pattern as to truncated call, so doubtful it was my station, possibly conditions
KF5MUSO HP ALLHad lots of fun. All bands were active
KG9ZSO LP 10MHate serial numbers. Software issues messing them up
KH6AQSO LP ALLWorked all S&P with the FTdx-10 in stand alone RTTY mode. Antennas were a Hexbeam at 33' and a 40 meter vertical
KI2DSO LP ALLThis being my first RTTY contest, I wasn't expecting much. Plus, I had family commitments and was not going to be at the shack this weekend and had a flight to take Sunday afternoon, So I set up for operation with all the apps running on a Windows 10 computer at the shack with remote access. I ended up operating from my laptop accessing the shack computer while watching TV with the family, from the dining room, from the car while waiting for my son to take the ACT exam, from a restaurant in Terminal 5 of JFK airport, from the floor in front of the gate, from the airplane while at the gate, from my phone while the plane was being de-iced and even two QSOs on the air using the in-flight wifi. Maybe next year I should plan a serious effort. FlexRadio 6600 on a couple of wire antennas hanging from trees: a 160m Loop and a 130' EFHW. First License granted on 4/22/2020
KJ6MBWSO LP 40MSingle band 40m, IC-7200 at 80w into a vertical antenna
